The Wiley Experience
Anxiety...Depression...Feeling Lost in society... These are all words that one can use with dealing with being homosexual in the modern America. Bo Wiley grew up in North Carolina. At age 10, after the death of her mother, she started to experiment with poetry and speaking as a way to cope with her loss. The Wiley Experience will take a dive in to the life of Bo as she connects with each student by discussing stigma of mental health in the gay and black community. Each lecture comes with an open forum which creates a safe place for students to discuss and learn about sensitivity training, suicide prevention, and lgbt awareness and inclusion. Students are also able to bring personal pieces to read aloud during the lecture. |

Homage Exhibit
The Homage Exhibit displays works by artists Romare Bearden and Elizabeth Catlett alongside original documents from Frederick Douglass, Booker T. Washington, Ralph Bunche and more. Traveling through time guests will see African artwork by unnamed craftsmen moving through artifacts depicting the cruelty of American slavery and bondage in the US. Items on display cover Slavery, Reconstruction, Post-Reconstruction, The Civil Rights Era, Post-Civil Rights with a handful of selected pieces focused on historical events post 1980. Our base package includes a six (5) hour display Multiple day options along with one hour roundtables are also available for this exhibit. Contact us for additional information.

We pose a group of questions to students to help them find their word.
- How are you making a difference? - What does your community need more of? - What has been a defining moment in your life? Encourage students to get inspired and stay motivated. Research shows that having a simple, constant reminder keeps you focused and improves your productivity. With this personalized bracelet, students choose their own custom message which is hand stamped onsite.
